Hello, everybody. Well, the moment us KH fans have been waiting for is finally here. Square Enix has finally gotten off their lazy asses and released the English trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3D that they promised would be "Coming Soon" about 3 months ago! Let's take a look!
Unfortunately, I can't put the video up here yet because Blogger's being a bitch, so here's a link. To be honest, it's actually just an English redub of the February trailer, but with a couple things changed here and there, but that's good enough for me.
Let's talk about the voices. First up, veterans. Sora, Riku, Yen Sid, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Pete, Minnie, Jiminy, Xemnas, Xigbar/Braig, Ansem SoD, Vanitas, Roxas, Axel/Lea, and Geppetto still sound like they should, which is cool. Although Geppetto's voice sounds much better than in KH1, and Pinnochio's VA sounds kind of inexperienced from the one line I heard from him. Other than that, the returning voices are solid.
Onto the new voices. Young Master Xehanort sounds sexy as hell. His voice may be deeper than I expected, but it still works, considering his other incarnations. Frollo sounds great, Hugo and Victor still sound like they did in the movies, but I can't help but wonder about Quasimodo. Like, does he still have the same VA or did they have to replace him? Eh, whatever, he sounds alright. I haven't seen Tron Legacy, but the characters all sound alright, except Quorra, who sounds way too emotionless. Joshua's voice is pretty much the same, but I guess Neku's VA had to sound exasperated/surprised for his single word in the trailer, because it came out a little too deep. Meh. Everyone else's voice seemed to be fine.
To be honest, I'm not as pissed as I should be at the fact that there's so little to talk about here, considering that E3's in about half a month, so the new trailer will be shown there, hopefully showing the inevitable US/PAL exclusive stuff.
HBM, signing out!
