HBM's Top Ten Wii Games

Well, the Wii U has been out for a couple days now. Of course I still don't have it, due to FUCKING TAXES and shit. >_> Oh well, it's time to give the Wii it's send-off with my Top Ten Wii Games. Like always, it's out of games I've actually owned at some point. Just remember that it's all my opinion, and you don't have to agree. Just like I don't have to listen when you beg for mercy when I'm giving you a slow, painful death. >:)

#10: Punch-Out!!

I already did a (late) review of this game quite some time ago, so you should know why I like this game. It just has such a great sense of humor, amazing animation (for the Wii, at least), great music, and good controls. This game would have been higher on this list if there was just a bit more variety to it. I still recommend it, though.

#9: Mario Kart Wii

This is probably the best Mario Kart game so far. The controls are tight, you can play as your Mii, and the tracks have just the right amount of fairness*. Probably the only reason this game isn't higher is because of how few unlockables there are. However, it was really close to getting #7, so there's that!

#8: Super Paper Mario

I love this game. It has a similar sense of humor to the Mario and Luigi games, the gameplay is great, and the story makes you want to keep going. While there are some frustrating parts, they barely detract from this game's greatness. If only Paper Mario: Sticker Star was this epic...

#7: Sonic Colors

This is most definitely the Sonic game that fixed everything that '06 and Unleashed fucked up. Better gameplay, better graphics, and a brand new voice cast (starring Deidara/Shinji/Ezio as Sonic) made this the best Sonic game since Shadow the Hedgehog, in my honest opinion.

#6: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (The Whole Series)

I couldn't just isolate one specific game, so I had to combine all three into one spot. Just the idea of Mario and Sonic in the olympics is worthy of this list already, but with great gameplay, variety of characters (including Miis), amazing music, and the Mii customization from the 2nd and 3rd games, this series proves itself worth of all Top 10 Wii Game Lists.

#5: Super Mario Galaxy (1 & 2)

I combined these into one because they're pretty much the same game. The first one was already an amazing game, but 2 was better when it came to gameplay. When it comes to story, it may as well have been DLC for 1. Whatever, these two games are simply awesome.

#4: Kirby's Return to Dream Land

This is the most perfect Kirby game ever, as I've already said. The power-ups, music, callbacks, graphics, and unlockables just make this the best Kirby ever.

#3: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Once again, a game I already reviewed. Amazing graphics, epic music, awesome gameplay and bosses, and it's all a fucking ZELDA GAME. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?!?!

#2: Xenoblade Chronicles

It took forever for Nintendo to localize this game, but it was worth it, because Xenoblade Chronicles is really damn good. The British voice acting adds a unique charm to this game, the music is amazing, and the gameplay is really cool. One of the better new Nintendo IPs in recent history.

#1: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Currently my favorite game, this is a perfect example of Nintendo showing off how awesome they are. Improved gameplay from Melee, more characters, and the revival of Pit, which was awesome enough to birth Kid Icarus Uprising! The modes are perfect, the unlockables are perfect, this game is just perfect. Hopefully, SSB4 will somehow manage to be better!

Well, This is it. The end of the post. It's been fun. Now it's time to go.

HBM, signing out.

*Except for Rainbow Road and SNES Rainbow Road. But with the right amount of practice, even these stages are perfectly fair.
