#10: Super Mario Bros. Main Theme
Yeah, everyone knows this song, and really, there's not much that needs to be said. The Mario theme is a classic, 'nuff said.
#9: Nate's Theme (Uncharted)
Yeah, I know there is an official Uncharted theme, but goddammit, Nate's Theme is so much more iconic! It really gives the sense that you yourself are part of the adventure, right there with Nate. And that's all I really want...
#8: Vampire Killer (Castlevania)
Probably the most iconic theme Konami has ever had in one of their games, Vampire Killer has basically become the Castlevania theme song. And that's not a bad thing. It's catchy, simple, and kickass. That's all you need.
#7: Punch-Out!! Main Theme
The Punch-Out theme is the kind of song that gets you really pumped for something. It's motivating, badass, and kind inspiring in a way. It just makes you want to rise to the top, and knock the competition out with a Three-Star-Punch!
#6: Volcanic Rim (Street Fighter IV)
Technically, this song is becoming the theme of SFIV, so I count it. Anyway, this music is pure action captured in musical form. If you need to kick someone's ass, make sure you do it to the tune of this song.
#5: Devils Never Cry (Devil May Cry 3)
When it comes to Devil May Cry, you really can't go wrong when it comes to having a kickass soundtrack. And what better track to have as your game's theme than Devils Never Cry? It's insanely catchy, and just makes me imagine Dante backflipping off a nuke while slicing demons heads off with a chainsaw just listening to it. Yeah... Devil May Cry rules...
#4: Ballad of the Goddess (Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword)
There's no denying that the Ballad of the Goddess is a beautiful piece of music. It's the kind of song that perfectly encapsulates what makes it's game so great, with such a sense of majesty and epicness that can only be found in a Zelda game.
#3: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Main Theme
I remember hearing this song for the first time when watching the first E3 trailer for Brawl and just ear-gasming. And even though I can't understand the lyrics, I still have to say this is one of the most awesome songs ever.
#2: Dissidia Final Fantasy Theme
Yeah, of course another one of my favorite games ever would have it's theme here. Dissidia's theme just seems to be what makes Final Fantasy good described in music. But there's still one theme that's better...
#1: The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 101 (The Wonderful 101)
Yes, The Wonderful 101 really has that great of a theme song. It's lyrics are amazing, and the music itself is inspiring and epic. This is legitimately one of the few songs that can put tears in my eyes from it's pure awesomeness. What else needs to be said?
Well, those are my Top Ten Video Game Themes. Now I have to go rest my ears. They can only have so many gasms in so much time, y'know?
HBM, signing out.
