Hello to all of the people. E3 is going to be happening in about 2 months, and I haven't really heard much about what we should expect out of it this year. So here's my post of some of the games I'm hoping to see there.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U & 3DS: It was officially revealed at last year's E3, and both versions are coming out at separate times after E3. I would think we'll be getting the official release dates and some character reveals this year.
Batman: Arkham Knight: Considering it was revealed just a couple months ago and not much has been said about it since, of course we'll be seeing this at E3. Hopefully with more details as to which villains will be in, as well as actual gameplay footage.
Kingdom Hearts III: Square has kept relatively quiet about this one since it was revealed, which makes sense seeing as how they're focusing on FFXV. Hopefully we'll maybe get a little English footage and an actual trailer with story details.
Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMix: Speaking of Kingdom Hearts, the last bit of news I heard about this was over a month ago, when Nomura said the new voice recording is done.* Considering it has two more Final Mix games, we need the fucking release date. NOW.
Mortal Kombat 10: I was disappointed with the absence of NetherRealm at E3 last year, but maybe they were just working on this a bit more. Kiefer Sutherland said a while back that he did voice work for an MK game, so at least we know it's in the works.
Ultra Street Fighter IV: Well, there's not really much that needs to be said about this one at this point. All we really need is a release date for the add-on and disc. And considering the add-on is becoming available this June, which is when E3 is...
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Kojima said they'll probably need extra time to work on this game because it's so huge, which is fine with me. Just as long as we get a new, less vague trailer this year.
Hyrule Warriors: We haven't heard about this since the Nintendo Direct last December. Hopefully it'll get a release date and more details.
Legend of Zelda Wii U: There has been literally no news on this since last January. Hopefully we'll learn whether it's been secretly killed or not this year.
The World Ends With You 2: Square teased this about 2 years ago with the secret ending to the iOS version, I think we deserve some kind of update on it's progress at this point. Though considering it's fucking Square we're talking about here, I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call: It was just recently confirmed for release in America and it's coming out soon in Japan. The original Theatrhythm is awesome, and this one looks like it'll be better. Though I do have to question some of the character choices (Vanille?! Seriously?!).
So, that's what I hope to see at this year's E3. Obviously, most, if not all, of these will show up in some form this year. It's only a matter of time. You know I'll give E3 updates as it goes on.
HBM, signing out.
*He didn't bother to specify whether it was just the Japanese voices, or the Japanese and English. Because that would just be too logical, and there's no room for logic in Square these days. The fuckers.
