So, this was a week with... not much news. Though, we do at least some stuff to look forward to for the next week. Anyway, let's get on with this.
Also, that announcement Nintendo teased last week? It was just Minecraft for Wii U... fucking stupid.
Final Fantasy VII Remake: So after the awesome FFVII Remake news last week, we got some kinda shitty news: It's going to be a multi-part game. They say it's because the game's going to be so huge, that if they were to make it one single game, it would take years to make, and they would have to remove a bunch of content. So, understanding that, I'd say it's not so bad. Also, the game's literally named Final Fantasy VII Remake, because they thought people wouldn't understand it's a remake if it just has some subtitle or something... Whatever.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U & 3DS: The final Smash themed Nintendo Direct will be on Tuesday, at 5pm EST. I'll cover it soon after, and I would imagine Cloud and his stage will be made available immediately afterward. It's pretty bittersweet that this is the final Smash themed news for now, but Sakurai's Wild Ride had to end at some point, and it was really fun while it lasted.
Hyrule Warriors Legends: We got quite a bit of news for HWL. There's the MyFairy system, where you unlock fairies on Adventure mode, customize them, and they give you different effects. The new HWL-exclusive Adventure map is the Great Sea from Wind Waker, complete with new unlockable costumes. We got some more details on Linkle's story as well: She thinks she a new incarnation of Link, and says her compass with the Royal Family's symbol on it is proof. We still have yet to see if the 3DS stuff other than characters will be transferrable to the Wii U version.
Pokken Tournament: A new fighter has been confirmed: Sceptile. He's coming to the Japanese arcade versions soon, and should be available on the console versions at launch. That's really it.
That's it for this week. There's definitely gonna be quite a it of news for the next week, what with the Smash Direct.
HBM, signing out.
