HBM News: 1/10/16-1/16/16

Another week, another news post. This week, we actually got quite a bit more news than usual, so that's always good.

First of all, while I haven't really talked about real-world deaths, and would prefer not to, I have to call attention to the deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman. Both were 69 years old, and both died of cancer. They were both great people that did amazing things, and they will be sorely missed.

Anyway, now that that's over with, onto better news.

Square-Enix: The producer of the Theatrhythm series, Ichiro Hazama, said in an interview that he wants to continue with the series. Hopefully we can get a Kingdom Hearts or The World Ends With You Theatrhythm game...

Final Fantasy XV: In an interview, the director of the game said that the equivalent to difficulty levels will be different "battle modes." (for example, a faster action style, compared to a slower more relaxed style)

Mortal Kombat X: A gameplay trailer for Kombat Pack 2 was put up. Bo Rai Cho, Tri-Borg, Xenomorph, and Leatherface were shown, and they all look pretty cool. The Kombat Pack includes some previous DLC for those that didn't get it, as well as new DLC, including costumes, and even the classic Pit stage (and possibly more)!

Pokemon: The 20th anniversary of Pokemon is this year. To celebrate, a whole bunch of stuff is happening this year, including Pokemon Red/Blue New 3DS Bundles that come with their respective game installed. So, that's cool.

Bayonetta 2: So, one of the best games on the Wii U is being re-released as a standalone on February 19th, same day as Fire Emblem Fates... could this be because of the Smash Bros DLC?

Pokken Tournament:We got a a few character reveals this week: Garchomp, Braixen, Mewtwo, and Chandelure are going to be playable. Also, Pokken Tournament is coming to consoles, worldwide, on March 18th.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD: Some new screenshots were posted that show some minor gameplay changes. One end-game screenshot shows the wallet with 2000 rupees, double the maximum in the original Twilight Princess, which is great. Another screenshot shows that the Tears of Light quests now only require you to find 12 tears, rather than 16. Finally, an Amazon France listing for the game says that there will be a Hero Mode, a Touchscreen inventory, amiibo are used to refill health/ammo, and the Wolf Link amiibo adds a new dungeon called the Twilight Cave.

So, quite a bit of news this week. Hopefully we'll be getting a Nintendo Direct soon.

HBM, signing out.
