HBM News: 1/24/16-1/30/16

The end of January has come, and we got a decent amount of news this week. So, last post of the month, let's go.

Mighty No. 9: The Mega Man successor that was supposed to come out in just a week was delayed to... sometime in the Spring. Apparently, it's due to bugs that they still need time to finish. Considering how much this game has gotten delayed, and how long fans have been waiting for it, this kinda sucks, but it's better than keeping those bugs and catching shit for it.

Street Fighter V: We got quite a bit of Street Fighter news this week. First of all, we got story details. There's Character stories, that show characters' backstories, feature hand-drawn artwork, and unlock costumes in the shop upon completion. Then there's the Cinematic Story, which takes a more modern, Mortal Kombat style approach to a story mode, focuses on Shadaloo scheming to cause an eclipse for... reasons, and will be made available for free in June. Secondly, there was the reveal of the modes in the game. The remaining modes are Survival, Tutorial, Training, Network, and Capcom Fighter's Network, basically how fighters stay connected. More modes will be added for free in later updates. Finally, supposedly Balrog was shown off at a fighting game tournament this week, so there's a rumor that he may be the first DLC character released. So, quite a bit of Street Fighter news.
Some shit gonna go down.
Mortal Kombat X: Tri-Borg was showed off during a stream. As shown in the trailers, his variations are basically suped-up versions of Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke's cyber form, but they also teased a 4th variation: Cyber Sub-Zero. There is already a way to play without variations in-game, so maybe it's his no-variation version. Anyway, it is a nice surprise.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: This is the Ninja Turtles game that PlatinumGames announced a while ago. It got a trailer, and it looks pretty sick. It has a comic aesthetic, has up to 4-player co-op, and includes Bebop & Rocksteady, Armaggon, and Shredder. Coming Summer 2016.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS: There's a rumor that a Smash Bros title will be a launch title for the upcoming Nintendo console, the NX, and some people believe it may be a "Complete Edition" of the Wii U game. Also, Bayonetta and Corrin were confirmed for a February 3rd release date, so that's cool.
More like BAE-onetta, amirite?
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD: Some updates to the game were confirmed recently. There's better mobility when riding Epona or swmming, and if you open a chest with Rupees while your wallet is full, the chest will stay open, unlike how annoying the original was. So that's pretty nice.

So that's the last bit of news of January 2016. Hopefully we get some really sweet news in the upcoming weeks.

HBM, signing out.
