HBM's Top Ten Games of 2016 I'm Most Excited For

So, it's now 2016, and there's quite a few awesome-looking games coming out this year. And like every year, I'm counting down the Top Ten that I'm looking forward to.Thankfully, unlike last year, there are more games that caught my eye for this year, so let's get to it.

#10: Pokken Tournament

You wouldn't think Tekken and Pokemon would mix, but apparently, that's not the case. Pokken looks like an awesome  Pokemon fighting game, with some of the cooler Pokemon using awesome moves and fighting styles, and even some assist-only Pokemon. It's pretty cool looking.

#9: South Park: The Fractured but Whole

Get it? Anyway, Stick of Truth was a pretty fun RPG, if a bit short and easy. Now it's getting a sequel, this time themed around the superhero episodes. Considering how fun those episodes are, and how good Stick of Truth was, I think we're in for a good time with this game.

#8: The Legend of Zelda Wii U

The game that just doesn't get any news updates. It's a bit hard to be excited for a game you barely know anything about, NINTENDO. It was scheduled to come out last year, now it's scheduled for this year. Honestly, Nintendo's only fooling themselves here, unless they tell us literally everything about the game in the 11 and 1/2 months they have. I'm expecting this to come out next year or 2018, to be honest.

#7: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Now that the Naruto Manga has ended, it seems like this might be the last Ultimate Ninja Storm game we get. It's pretty bitterweet, but nevertheless, these games have always been awesome. The graphics are actually better than ever, and we're finally getting a voiced adaptation of those final fights from the manga. In the end, it's an Ultimate Ninja Storm game, so it can't go wrong.

#6: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

The Uncharted games were all really cool, basically Indiana Jones in video game form. However, the saga of Nathan Drake had to end one day, and that's what's happening with this game. Basically, it's probably going to be the same parkour and gunplay we've seen before, and I'm okay with that. Still, it is a bit hard to be excited for a game that's gotten delayed as much as this one.

#5: Street Fighter V

Yup, only a couple years after Ultra Street Fighter IV, we get Street Fighter V. While the roster will be a bit more sparse to start with, it will get filled with DLC over time, which we thankfully won't need to pay real money for. Also, there's actually going to be a Story Mode for once, which is apparently taking a Blazblue kind of approach. Anyway, fighting games are always good, and Street Fighter is no exception.

#4: Project X Zone 2

I've said it so many times before; Project X Zone is one of the best games on the 3DS. Now it's getting a sequel, with even more badass characters, higher quality music, and a few Nintendo characters! I know I can't wait for this awesomeness!

#3: Yooka-Laylee

Finally, the creators of Banjo-Kazooie make another game! Thanks to the Kickstarter raising many times it's initial goal, we're getting all kinds extra goodies with this game, which is cool. It's going to be a Banjo-Kazooie style collect-a-thon, just as we've all wanted. While it's estimated release date is listed as this October, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it until sometime next year alongside Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

#2: Final Fantasy XV

A game that's taken over a decade to actually make, we're finally getting FFXV sometime this year. It does seem cool, with the Kingdom Hearts style combat, gigantic open world (said to be even bigger than Metal Gear Solid V's), and gorgeous graphics. Though I have a feeling that at this point, the game might not be able to live up to this hype. Either way, I'm still looking forward to this.

#1: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven

Yes, we're finally getting another JoJo game, and it is confirmed for American release! With an original story, even more characters, 2-on-2 battles, an Ultimate Ninja Storm-esque battle system, a better way to unlock costumes, and even a new form of Dio, this seems to be a must-have for JoJo fans. And considering that JoJo is currently my favorite anime, it seems only fitting that Eyes of Heaven is the game I'm most looking forward to this year.

So, those are the games of 2016 I'm most excited for. Hopefully they're all as good as I'm expecting, possibly even more so!

HBM, signing out.
